If you're planning a trip to Nickelodeon Universe at American Dream and have a toddler around 35 inches tall, you're probably wondering the same thing I was:

Will my little one actually be able to enjoy enough attractions to make the trip worth it?

As a mom of a 5-year-old and a 2.5-year-old, I always try to research destinations ahead of time to make sure both kids will have fun. My youngest, Dean, is currently about 35 inches tall, so before visiting Nickelodeon Universe, I dug through the ride requirements to find out exactly what he could ride.

The good news?

There are plenty of attractions your 35-inch toddler can enjoy! See my post below that breaks down all the rides!

My Suggested Toddler Route

If you're visiting with a toddler, one of the easiest ways to navigate the park is by following the natural flow of the attractions to reduce walking and backtracking.

  1. Blaze's Monster Truck Rally

  2. Blue's Skidoo

  3. Butterbean's Sweet Spin

  4. Rugrats Reptar Go-Round

  5. Shimmer & Shine Jumping Genies

  6. Pup, Pup & Away

  7. Bikini Bottom Crosstown Express

  8. Boots' Banana Swing

  9. PAW Patrol Hero Academy

This route follows the park layout and helps keep little legs from getting tired too quickly.

Toddler Parent Tips

🚻 Know Where the Family Restrooms Are

Need a diaper change or potty break?

Family restrooms are conveniently located:

  • Near the main entrance

  • Near the Rugrats Reptar Go-Round section of the park

These are the most convenient restroom locations for families exploring the toddler-friendly attractions.

🐾 Save PAW Patrol Hero Academy for a Break

One of my favorite tips is to use PAW Patrol Hero Academy when your child needs a break from ride lines.

Because it's an interactive play attraction rather than a ride, it's a great way to let little ones burn energy while parents take a breather.

📏 Measure Before You Go

A single inch can make a big difference at Nickelodeon Universe.

Knowing your child's height before visiting can help you:

  • Set expectations

  • Plan your route

  • Avoid disappointment at ride entrances

Is Nickelodeon Universe Worth It for a 35-Inch Toddler?

For our family, the answer was yes.

Dean was able to enjoy several attractions, and having a mix of rides and play experiences made the visit much more enjoyable than I initially expected.

If you're visiting with a toddler 35 inches and under, planning ahead can make a huge difference—and hopefully this guide helps make your day a little easier.
